Yea, I know the ‘08 250s are out and everyone is in love with them, but if you are reading this, you may be looking for a used 250. Well the Ninja 250 is quite possibly the best beginner bike you can find. It is light, nimble, responsive, forgiving, and has a low seat height. I also don't want to say that this bike is only for beginners, it’s a blast for anyone. It has a great look and is comfortable enough to ride for 100 miles before taking a break. A lot of people say it’s slow; you will be surprised what 30 hp can do. I have no problem merging onto the highway or passing cars. It’s not a super sport, but it will get you up to the speed you want to go. My biggest complaint about the bike is that on windy days it can get kind of scary as you get blown around like a feather. Other than that it’s great. It’s great around the twisties, and is very nimble at low speeds. If you are new to riding, this is the bike to get. It will build your skill and confidence and give you a great foundation. If you are over 6 feet and 200 lbs, maybe consider a 500 though.
